Our Vision

Our mission is to create a gateway through which independent filmmakers and music artists can reach a larger audience. Our vision is to create an environment that allows filmmakers a chance to become exposed to potential investors and network amongst their peers.
Scorpius Magazine is an online independent film and music magazine. Scorpiusfest is Scorpius Magazine’s annual independent film and music video festival in Park City, Utah.
We are proud to be sponsored by Filmfreeway. Scorpiusfest 2024 will be our fifth year as a Five-Star Gold Member on Filmfreeway.
Scorpiusfest is an exclusive, private event, by invitation only, which hosts filmmakers, sponsors, investors, film industry representatives, and press. Our festival includes a red carpet event, press interviews, film screenings, awards ceremony, discounted lodging, complimentary dining/networking, and our renowned after-party. Although Scorpiusfest is not a public event, all award winners’ films will be featured in select independent theaters throughout the month of February, following the festival. Award winners will also receive a feature article in Scorpius Magazine and will be promoted on our social media platforms throughout the year following the festival. Scorpiusfest takes place just two days prior to Sundance Film Festival. We are not affiliated with Sundance Institute, we are a separately owned and operated festival. However, we always encourage our guests to extend their stay in order to enjoy the legendary Sundance Film Festival and ski the best snow on earth.
Scorpiusfest 2024 will take place on Tuesday, January 16th, 2024.

videos.
